Why not have some fun on the farm and join one of our Chocolate Tours.
Golden Tickets are sold on a first come first served basis so it is advisable to get your tickets when you arive on site to secure your place on the next available Chocolate Tour. We get very busy on rainy days so please arrive early to avoid delays or disapointment.
These tours are run at set times throughout the day. 11am, 1pm and 3pm out of peak season and much more frequently during peak season. The tour takes approximately 45 minutes but please allow more time on site to enjoy the Comfort Food Cafe, Chocolate Cinema, Chocolate Muesum, Hobo Gallery and of course the charming Chocolate Shop and Delicatessen.
The first part of the tour is a personal sit down demonstration. You not only learn about the ingredients of chocolate but you get a hands on experience of touching and smelling too! And of course you get to taste a range of our chocolates as a part of our tour, so it really is worth a visit! Additionally we show you how we mould, decorate, pipe, trickle, set and generally work with all our different chocolates and products!
The second part is an audio tour which takes you behind the scenes at the chocolate farm. You will see into our main chocolate workshops before wandering the narrow streets of 'Llansiocled' our model village which lets you peep through the windows seeing chocolate craft in action. You will not only get to experience how we make the chocolate but how we make the fillings through to how we package our products too! You get a sneaky peek inside all of our 'VIP' areas!
Finally the tour will bring you through to our 'have a go room' where you can try your hand at chocolate making. You will hand dip and decorate your own chocolate truffle hopefully implying some of the techniques we taught you during the tour. Perhaps you could be Wales' next best Chocolatiere, but if not you can always just indulge in your own handywork!
The village tour is as suitable for wheelchairs as possible. We are a converted hill farm, but we are also committed to showing everyone a fantastic time!
If you do have a wheelchair with your group please do not hesitate to make yourself known when booking on the tour so ramps can be put down where needed and you have the best chance possible of seeing and experiencing everything chocolate! Our Access Statement outlines our site accessability.
